haha i think that's actually pretty cute. lol anyway, I think you need to try to think of an answer and let him know. If you don't want to be his bf then you're going to have to tell him and make sure he understands that you don't have a problem with him but you just aren't ready for that now. But, if you like him then I say go for it. The only problem I could see with it if you do decide to be his bf is that you're roommates. You might want some more space and time to yourself then being a roommate would allow. Also ( and i hope this doesn't happen) if things go bad it could be very awkward. If you think you can make it work though then go for it. Good luck! :)
