16 month old baby doesnt talk?

I have a nearly 16 month baby who doesn't talk at all. She use to say stuff like mamma and dada and even bananna but now she doesn't say anything at all really. She babbles a lot and understands when we ask her to do something. She also points to stuff that she wants. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? I've heard that by 16 months babies are suppose to say more than 5 words? I've been concerned about this for a while but just thought that she will talk in her own time. She has reached all of her other milestones. She can walk and wave bye bye and even dance. Everything seems normal to me except she doesn't talk. She doesn't have a check up until she reaches 18 months. Should I schedule an appointment for her anyways before 18 months? Thanks for any replies.
