Who is your deity and what does he do?

I'd like to know about your god(s). I understand it's all researchable on Wiki and whatnot, but I'd like to know what you think of them. I personally am a Christian, and I'd say just about everybody knows where Christians stand, but let's make an open forum for people to tell us what they believe, and why. If you're an atheist, that's good for you! Tell me why you decided to be an atheist rather than believe, and vice versa. Tell me why you're a believer if you are one. Please, no bad mouthing anyone's beliefs. If you have a specific issue with a religion, point it out, but do so respectfully.
