What do you think of the people that discredit your question or answer because of a typo or spelling error?

I have to believe that most people are ostensibly guilty of typos and spelling errors in the haste and nature of website writing. If you read a question and completely understand the content of the question or answer is it fair to use a typo or honest spelling error to undermine the persons thoughts?
